Mammoth ski resort in California is honestly thinking about staying open until Memorial Day after receiving 12-18″ of new snow last night.  It’s still snowing right now.  Skiing today was fun.  We’ll get a report up soon.

“The news you’ve been waiting for: Erase that May 10 closing date from your calendar – Mammoth will stay open for skiing and riding. Closing is for quitters. Help spread the news and share with your friends.” – Mammoth

In reality, Mammoth very well may only make it until next Sunday, May 17th.  But, heck, it just might snow again next week.

Mammoth really is the best place you can possibly be in May.  Park, pipe, shorts, bikinis, hot tubs, hot springs, hot rivers, ice cream, beer, beer guts, sunglasses, stinky sunscreen, hot dogs, ball caps, sunburns, costumes, and deep powder…  for now.
