Snow Cover in California as of December 8th, 2013

The state of California is currently covered in snow after a very cold storm slammed into the state on Friday and Saturday.  Snow levels were confirmed as low as 300′ in the northern Sacramento Valley.  This image of California’s snow cover is from the MODIS Satellite yesterday, December 8th, 2013.

Our neighbors at NWS San Francisco Bay Area/Monterey made this image using MODIS satellite and we wanted to share with you!
