Colorado is getting the big late season snow this May. NOAA has issued both a Winter Storm Warning and a Winter Storm Watch for the Colorado mountains today that involve 10 to 20 inches of new snow falling today and tomorrow.
Arapahoe Basin ski resort is still open.
“A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Front Range mountains from 6 PM this evening until 6 PM Tuesday. Look for 10-20 inches with the heaviest amounts above 10 thousand feet. Roads are expected to become slushy or snowpacked over the higher passes with the onset of heavier snowfall. Visibilities will also be reduced during the heavy snowfall from this evening through Tuesday morning.” – NOAA Denver
