Colorado continues to pull the line this fall but now, we’ve got Vermont in the race as well.  Arapahoe Basin and Loveland have been open for a couple weeks now but they didn’t get any help from Mother Nature this past week.  The coming week isn’t promising any new snow for Colorado.  Luckily, both of these open ski resorts have large snowmaking infrastructures.
Killington, VT opened last Friday and only planned on staying open for the weekend. Â They changed their tune after discovering good conditions and cold, snowmaking temps. Â Killington announced today that they will be open daily starting now.
Arapahoe Basin opened its upper mountain this past weekend adding the Lenawee lift to the schedule.  It’s looking damn good up top at A-Basin.
This weekend, Timberline Lodge, OR and Wolf Creek, CO will reopen once again for the weekend crowds.  If we’re lucky, maybe another resort or two will join them.  We’ll letcha know.
SKI RESORTS OPEN IN NORTH AMERICA THIS WEEK:
1. Â Arapahoe Basin, CO
– open daily since Oct. 13th
2. Â Loveland, CO
– open daily since Oct. 17th
3. Â Killington, VT
– open daily since Oct. 25th
Looks better in vermont than colorado.
Way to step up VT!
