Over the weekend, Angel Collinson became the first woman to ever win the Powder Awards’ “Line of the Year”.  Angel had a break out year in Alaska this year and put together a segment that anyone would be proud to have to their name.

“Thank you all for everything you contribute.  But I really think this one goes out to all the men…who support us women and bring us into your fold and give us all these opportunities and support us and believe in us. I would not be here without you.” – Angel Collinson up on receiving the award

Women are stepping up huge in the mountains right now with Angel leading the charge.

“Angel’s win is a huge deal, and it speaks volumes for female skiers.  Her skiing is riveting. She skis with a wonderful combination of technical fluidity, power and grace, even among the chaos of the massive mountains around her.” – Powder’s John Clary Davies told GrindTV

Angel had a huge night also winning Best Female Performance and she won the Women’s Reader Poll, taking the title from Ingrid Backstrom, who had won it the previous 9 years in a row.
