The longest season in Colorado will finally come to an end this weekend when the lifts stop turning at Arapahoe Basin.

A-Basin COO Alan Henceroth announced on his blog yesterday that the resort will close on June 6th.

Closing day will be this Sunday, June 6. I hope you can make it up one of these last five days.

Last year the resort closed on June 7th (the resort re-opened on May 27th after closing on March 14th due to the pandemic), and in 2019 A-Basin stayed open right through July 4th. 2018-19 was also the resort’s longest ever season, opening from October 19 2018 for a total of 258 operating days. July 4th isn’t their latest ever opening though, that was August 10th, in 1995.
