48 Hours in Wolf Creek, CO with 42 Inches of New Snow

The pre-Thanksgiving storm that teased parts of the SW and hammered others has come and gone. In the end Wolf Creek Ski Area, Colorado received a storm total of 42″ of snow bringing the season total up to 105″. Wolf Creek is nestled in the perfect corner on Wolf Creek Pass allowing it to suck the moisture out of every passing storm cloud and lot’s of clouds pass this family owned gem! Trying to determine the season can be slightly convoluted this time of year. Is it summer or is it winter? Mountain Biking in hot Moab sun one day and the next morning you are back in Telluride making turns on your skis or snowboard. San Juan Mts, CO Conditions Report: Riding Big Lines on September 30th, 2013

I must admit, I’ve never skied in September. I’ve ridden my bike in the snow, I’ve thrown snowballs and I’ve enjoyed September surf sessions, but I’ve never skied in the month of September, until today.
