Brian Head Resort, UT Postpones Friday Opening | Blames Warm Weather

Last year Brian Head Resort, UT were the first Utah resort to open for the season, and this year they were hoping to take the title again, with a scheduled opening day of Friday 15th November.ย However, due to warm weather conditions, they have had to postpone their opening day.

We will not be opening for winter operations Friday, November 15th. Stay tuned for our next announcement on a new opening day, and keep your fingers crossed for cold weather and snow!

Last season the resort opened on Friday 16th November, when early season snow and low temperatures allowed snowmaking.ย Fingers are crossed here, we’re doing our snow dances.

The current scheduled opening dates for resorts across Utah are as follows:

  • Brighton: Mid-November
  • Park City Mountain:ย November 22
  • Alta: November 23
  • Solitude: November 23
  • Sundance: November 23
  • Snowbasin: November 27
  • Snowbird: November 29
  • Deer Valley:ย December 7
  • Beaver Mountain:ย Mid-December
  • Nordic Valley:ย Mid-December
  • Powder Mountain:ย Mid-December
  • Ski Cherry Peak:ย Mid-December
  • Eagle Point: December 20
