California’s 4 year drought is now looking dire thanks to our nearly complete lack of snowpack.  The latest snow survey compiled last week is showing that all of California’s mountain snow survey sites are now at 0% of average for this time of year.  0% is bad and is the lowest survey ever taken at this time of year.

“I think the previous low year would be back in the drought of 1977, and at least then we had 25-percent. This year we have the lowest snow pack ever measured,” Maury Roos, California Department of Water Resources

Roos also mentioned that statewide reservoir storage is at 58% of normal right now and isn’t likely to increase because of there won’t be any more snow melt this year.
