Christmas came early for guests at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Colorado, as more terrain opened in time for the Christmas holidays. Last weekend, mountain operations at Crested Butte opened East River Express, Gold Link Chairlift, and Prospect Chairlift to the public, providing access to more than 350 acres of additional terrain. With the opening of these chairlifts, all lifts are now open for the season aside from the t-bars.

East River opened on Saturday, December 23, 2023, alongside intermediate favorites such as Black Eagle, Gallowich and Treasury, as well as advanced runs such as Resurrection and Double Top Glades. Prospect and Gold Link followed on Sunday, providing skiers and riders with more intermediate options such as Cascade, Elko Park and Panion’s Run.

When guests are done with their East River, Gold Link and Prospect laps, they now have another option to refuel on the mountain. Uley’s Cabin, recently named one of USAToday’s 10Best Ski Restaurants in North America, is open for lunch service for the 2023/24 season. People dining indoors can expect an upscale experience with a classic Colorado-style menu, including favorites such as the grilled pheasant breast, bison tri-tip steak frites and wild game stroganoff. Indoor lunch reservations are available through OpenTable. Outdoors, guests can play games like cornhole and giant Jenga in a casual setting while enjoying fun cocktails and American-style favorites on the grill. Uley’s is open for both outdoor and indoor dining Wednesday-Sunday.
