There will be plenty of family-friendly fun for guests visiting Crested Butte Mountain Resort, Colorado, over the holidays. Guests are invited to celebrate in the Crested Butte base area at 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve for a family-friendly holiday event complete with hot cocoa, cookies, and pictures with Santa Claus.

Then on New Year’s Eve, Crested Butte’s finest ski and snowboard instructors will wind their way down the mountain bearing torches that light up the night – followed by a fireworks show to celebrate the new year. Ice carving artists also returned to Mt. Crested Butte last week to ply their skills in celebration of the holiday season. Guests can now enjoy the sculptures in the base area for as long as they last.
