Starting Thursday, January 17, 2019, all Federal employees who are furloughed due to the government shutdown will receive a free weekday lift ticket or scenic ticket for the Mt. Rainier Gondola at Crystal Mountain, WA.

โ€œWe realize that many federal employees are caught in the middle of the battle thatโ€™s going on in DC and weโ€™d like to invite them up to the mountains for a day of skiing or snowboarding on us as a show of gratitude for their service,โ€ said Frank DeBerry, President and COO of Crystal Mountain.ย  โ€œThe outdoors will always be open and accessible to all, and we invite anyone currently furloughed with a Federal ID to join us for a day of fun,โ€ he added.

A Federal ID is required and must be presented at the ticket window to qualify.ย This offer is not valid January 19-21 or January 26-27, 2019.ย  Offer ends February 1, 2019, or when the government shutdown ends, whichever happens first.
