Echo Mountain, Colorado, announced on their website and social media channels, that the resort will be closed today, Thursday, March 14, after receiving a staggering 30 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. The closure also affects its night skiing offer which is usually offered every Wednesday to Saturday from 4:30 – 9:00 p.m.
“Echo faithful, we will be CLOSED today – Thursday, March 14th. Due to extreme weather, worsening road conditions and multiple road closures we are making the decision to shut it down.
We will continue to provide updates on operations for tomorrow, but don’t try to make the trip to Echo until you hear more from us. Stay safe out there!”
Echo Mountain, which prides itself in offering the most direct access from Denver, has 60 acres of ski terrain serviced by two lifts. The resort was purchased last September by a private equity firm, which saw the potential in the small resort just 36 miles from downtown Denver. Echo Mountain is on the Indy Pass.
You have an extra zero. Its 3 feet, and it’s not that staggering of number for a ski area.
