What an incredible early season it’s been at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. The resort received a total of 86.5 inches season-to-date of which 10 inches fell in the last four days alone, making for some fantastic weekend skiing.

Crested Butte opened two more chairlifts to the public on Sunday, December 10, 2023, increasing the available terrain to more than 360 acres and allowing access to advanced terrain for the first time this season. The Silver Queen Express and Painter Boy chairs opened on the weekend. Silver Queen offers another option for guests out of the base area, and is currently servicing black diamond favorites off the front side such as Upper Keystone, Twister, Jokerville, Cystal and Peoria. Painter Boy Chairlift is now offering access to Splain’s Gulch, which is a great green trail for beginner skiers and riders.
