Female Juvenile Skier Dead After Hitting Tree at Breckenridge, CO Today

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a female juvenile skier died today after hitting a tree at Breckenridge Ski Resort, CO today at around 11am.

The skier collided with a tree in the Peak 10 area.

She was taken to the Breckenridge Medical Clinic where she was pronounced dead.

Today’s death at Breckenridge was 2nd skier death due to colliding with a tree at the ski resort this season.

A 21-year-old skier died hitting at tree at Breckenridge on December 16th, 2018.

A 71-year-old skier was found dead at Breckenridge on January 7th, 2018.

SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – On March 21, 2019 at approximately 11:04 a.m. the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a juvenile skier that collided with a tree at Breckenridge Ski Resort on Peak 10. The skier was transported to the Breckenridge Medical Clinic where she was pronounced dead. No information about the identity of the skier is being released until notification to the next of kin has been made. The Summit County Coroner has taken over the investigation.  –  The Summit County Sheriff’s Office
