81.2 INCHES NEW RECORD SNOW REPORT in Hamburg, NY!

A new official storm total of 81.2โ€ณ has been recorded for Hamburg, NY between Wednesday night and Sunday. This surpasses the total for Orchard Park, NY at 80.0โ€ณ for the most recent lake effect snow emergency. This also surpasses the 2014 lake effect snow event in the Buffalo Southtowns by a few inches, although the wind was a bit less, writes Reed Timmer.

Hamburg also smashed the record for most snow in a 24-hour period in New York, receiving 66โ€ณ. The previous record was 50โ€ณ set in Camden in 1966.
