All Major Lifts and 4,139 Vertical Feet of Terrain Now Open for Visitors

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), Wyoming, is pleased to announce that it will open its iconic Aerial Tram beginning Saturday, December 16, giving visitors the opportunity to access Rendezvous Bowl, ski or ride 4,139 vertical feet on the mountain, and enjoy waffles at the award-winning Corbet’s Cabin at the top of Rendezvous Peak.

The opening of the Aerial Tram comes as the Resort recently reached 124 inches of snowfall for the season, with bluebird conditions expected throughout the weekend.

Built in 2008 and gliding skyward from the base in Teton Village to the top of Rendezvous Mountain at 10,450 feet in just 12 minutes, the Aerial Tram provides visitors the chance to take in stunning views of the Tetons, Jackson Hole Valley, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Located directly off the Tram, Rendezvous Bowl is the widest open slope at the Resort and offers descent options via intermediate or expert terrain through the Resort’s deepest snowpack.

Early season conditions still exist, and guests are advised to stay out of all closed areas and look for hazards.

“With the opening of the Aerial Tram on Saturday, all the major lifts at JHMR will be open. We are grateful to our snowmaking and grooming crews, as well as two recent winter storms that dropped fresh snow across the Resort.”

– JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley

Beginning Saturday, Corbet’s Cabin will serve its signature Top of the World Waffles daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Corbet’s Cabin is the highest-altitude restaurant in Wyoming and was recently named the second-best ski restaurant in North America by USA Today. JHMR will also open Bear Flats Snack Shack at the base of the Sublette lift on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., serving bear dogs, grab ‘n go food, and hot and cold beverages.

JHMR reminds visitors that it is once again limiting the sale of daily tickets and managing capacity for a fourth consecutive year in 2023-24, greatly improving guests’ experiences on the mountain and throughout the resort.

Ticket sales are limited on a daily basis and are available for advanced purchase, and tickets may sell out. Due to demand, JHMR encourages all skiers and riders to make reservations as required for its multi-resort pass products or purchase day tickets in advance.

Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective pass holders are required to make reservations for lift access. JHMR recommends making reservations well in advance. Guests who purchased a JHMR Winter 2023-24 Season Pass can ski or ride on any day indicated by their pass type.
