Less Than 100 Days: Mammoth Mountain, CA Announces Opening Day for Next Winter While Still Open Right Now

SnowBrains |

The lifts are still turning in the 22/23 ski season at Mammoth Mountain, CA, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about next winter, especially when it’s less than 100 days away.

Mammoth took to social media yesterday to remind us that they will be opening for the 23/24 season on November 10th—100 days from now.

This epic ski season saw record amounts of snowfall throughout the western United States, which caused many resorts to extend seasons well into the summer months. Mammoth Mountain was one of those resorts after receiving a record 715 inches of snowfall. The resort announced earlier this week that it would close this weekend after a fantastic 275-day ski season.

If the Farmers’ Almanac forecast is anything near accurate, early-season snowfall could bring that opening day forward, meaning we have even less time to wait. Winter’s coming…
