Sharing some happy news this Friday morning: Beaver Creek Resort is thrilled to welcome their newest avalanche dog trainee, Bridger, to the Beaver Creek Ski Patrol family. Bridger is a 10 week old female black Labrador from Calhan, Colorado, and will be trained by handler Alex Oberg, a fourth year patroller at Beaver Creek.
Over the next two years, Bridger will train to validate with Colorado Rapid Avalanche Deployment. She will start with socialization and obedience training, before honing her skills to use her nose to find scent under snow.
