It’s been snowing at the base of Squaw Valley, CA since 4pm.  

It’s still snowing at the base of Squaw.

NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lake Tahoe is in effect until midnight tonight.

Squaw, Aline, Mt. Rose, and Mammoth are still open in CA/NV and all should have mini pow days tomorrow.


* Snow Accumulations: 1 to 3 inches near Lake Tahoe elevations, 3
  to 6 inches at Spooner Summit, 6 to 10 inches near Mt Rose.

* Snow Levels: Around 6000 to 6500 feet, but fluctuating greatly.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PDT TONIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for snow, which is in effect until midnight PDT tonight.

* Timing: Periods of light snow will continue over the Tahoe Basin
  this evening.

* Snow Accumulations: 1 to 3 inches near Lake Tahoe elevations, 3
  to 6 inches at Spooner Summit, 6 to 10 inches near Mt Rose.

* Snow Levels: Around 6000 to 6500 feet, but fluctuating greatly.

* Impacts: Accumulating snow will produce slick conditions tonight
  for roads around Lake Tahoe. This includes Highway 50.
  Interstate 80 at Donner Pass may also be affected by snow.
  Conditions may worsen after sundown when temperatures cool
  slightly.
