Okemo Mountain Resort, VT, Postpones This Week’s Opening Day Due to Lack of Snow

Okemo Mountain Resort, VT, had hoped to start its lifts turning on November 20th, but yesterday had to finally admit that that’s not going to happen.

The resort, bought by Vail Resorts three years ago, announced on social media that they would be opening late this year, although they didn’t specify a date.

Sorry, Okemo skiers and riders – while we were hoping to hit our target opening date of November 20, so much is up to Mother Nature. It looks like we will be opening just a bit later than planned this year. Please check back here for updates. We hope to open soon! #Okemo
