The snow is showing no signs of stopping in the Eastern Sierra. Overnight and into this morning, Mammoth Mountain has already received over a foot of new snow (14 -18 inches), with a forecasted daytime snow accumulation of anywhere between 30 – 36 inches.

With this current storm, Mammoth Mountain has officially surpassed last year’s season snowfall total.

“Due to intense snowfall and rapid accumulation, lift operations will be limited. Main Lodge is closed for the remainder of the day. Expect heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions through late Tuesday night.”

Mammoth ops update

Mammoth has received 270″ of fresh snow this season and has a 194″ base at the summit, the deepest in North America.
