It’s a powder day in Lake Tahoe. 6-12” of snow has fallen above 7,500 feet and it’s snowing right this second. No ski resorts are open in Tahoe, but the backcountry is gonna be good today and maybe even better once this storm moves out.
MT. ROSE, NEVADA FORECAST:
It looks like it’ gonna get warm again as soon as this storm moves out. You’re not gonna want to wait around. Ski/ride today, tomorrow, or early Thursday if you can.
Carson Pass, Alpine Meadows, & Mt. Rose are gonna be some good places to go. Mt. Rose will likely be the winner with potentially no rain at all.
As things clear up and we get more information on how much snow is where, we’ll certainly letcha know. For now, it’s lookin’ like a real May powder day in Tahoe.
Almost useless information since no Tahoe ski areas are open.
That is ridiculous! That is more snow at High Camp than I’ve seen on the webcams since….. I can’t remember.
Epic!
Hope we get some reports today. Goin up manana
