The search for these two men has been suspended indefinitely due to the avalanche danger in the area. Searching for them would put search & rescue teams in danger. Local officials will be out searching as soon as it is safe to do so, but that could be a week or more out.

“When snow conditions and the weather improves, we will try to get back into some steeper areas we have not been in yet. However, that could be a week or more out,” stated Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputy, Mark Jilk.
