New Solitude Mountain Resort, UT President & COO Amber Broadaway updated us yesterday with what’s new at the resort this season, including the great news that they will be extending lift opening hours.

Starting in mid-December, select chairlifts will have extended lift hours on weekends and holidays, opening an hour early. Moonbeam Express, Apex Express, and Link will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on those days. The rest of the mountain will open as usual at 9:00 a.m., conditions permitting, for even more great skiing and snowboarding. Extended lift hours will begin as soon as conditions allow.
Then, in mid-March, lift operations for the whole mountain will “spring ahead” with daylight saving time. All of our lifts will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day through the end of the season. We are excited to soak in the spring sunshine and keep the fun going!
No special passes or tickets are needed for these extended hours. All valid lift tickets and passes to access Solitude will be able to take advantage of extended hours when they occur. Applicable holidays are December 25, 2021-January 2, 2022, January 17, 2022, and February 21, 2022.
This season, we’re giving you even more skiing & snowboarding with lifts turning 8-4 on weekends and holidays beginning in December. Once we “spring forward” in March 2022, the mountain will be open 9-5 every day to soak in the sunshine! Details: https://t.co/Z3gobXJ92K pic.twitter.com/w4SP9U2gDP
