Squaw Valley, CA Report: 8″ of New, Dry Snow & Low Crowds

Squaw Valley, CA saw 8″ of new snow last night and it was dry snow.

A bit too dry in spots where you ended up hitting the firm snow below.

Lower angle terrain skied better with less hitting bottom and more fun.

Most all of the mountain opened except for Silverado today.

There weren’t many people out today.

Today had the shortest lift lines of any powder day we’ve had at Squaw this year.

We only skied KT and Headwall today and they were both fun but you had to be careful with the firm underlayer.

Another storm is forecast to hit Squaw this weekend:
