Emerald Pools, CA is a legendary place. Amazing cliff jumping, great swimming, gorgeous views, terrific hiking, friendly water snakes, and plenty of room for adventure. Working your way down stream seeking out cliff jumping spots and solid swimming holes is a great way to pass the day. These boys give us a show of what can be done off the bigger cliffs at Emerald Pools. Goliath is a monster, both literally and figuratively. To get to Emerald Pools is easy. Just turn off 80 onto 20 and pull of the highway where the water flows uphill.

Squaw Valley Conditions Report: Big Powder / Small Backflips

Squaw and Alpine have been on fire for the past week. We’ve had nothing but quality powder skiing since last Friday. Squaw has gotten 32″ of snow in the past 7 days. Yesterday was a full-on powder day with 7″ of new snow at Squaw and Granite Chief had been closed the previous day. Granite was pillowy, poppy, fluffy, deep, and fun all yesterday morning. I think it’s safe to say we just had the best week of the season here at Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina. On Monday, September 7th, the storm came in strong enough to close the mountain entirely. It was cold and windy storm that snowed to the bottom of the mountain.
