Whoa. Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile’s upper mountain is forecast to receive 19-Feet of Snow (232 inches) in the next 4 days according to snow-forecast.com. 19-feet of snow? In 4 days? Maybe this will be the year that hugely aids that drought situation and makes the skiing all time. Maybe this will be the year that everyone has been waiting for. Maybe this will be the year that we will be talking about for decades to come. Maybe this is the year you should be coming down to South America…
Wow. 124″ of snow are forecast for Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile this weekend. Valle Nevado had nothing but brown dirt and rocks until 5 days ago. Now, they’re about to get dumped on and potentially be open with terrific conditions next week. It’s been so bad in northern Chile so far this winter that no ski resorts have opened up yet. The snow is forecast to start today, get insane on Saturday and Sunday, then taper off on Monday into a clear week next week.
