Wind, Chalk, & Corbet’s at Jackson Hole | Conditions Report, Photo Tour With a season total of 454″, and a snow depth of 131″, Jackson is killing it. So much so that a trough had to be dug out for the tram at the top. With all the hype around the snow in Jackson, and the lack thereof in Tahoe, Tydel and I decided to take a lil trip out to Tetons to check it out ourselves. And we have yet to be disappointed, the hype around Jackson […] Conditions Report Jesse Cassidy | March 20, 2014 1 Comment
Jackson Hole, WY Conditions Report | Sun, Powder and Waffles | 3/12/14 What’s better than Apres? The obvious answer would be a little Pre-pres. That’s where Corbet’s Cabin comes into play. After a hard charging morning of a little pow and go seek looking for the remaining stashes ones stomach requires “World Famous Waffles” served hot and fresh at 10,450 feet. My personal preference is Strawberry, however Corbet’s has several steamy mouth-watering varieties to choose from. TGR Producer Caught & Injured in Avalanche @ Jackson Hole on Sunday: Greg Epstein, the TGR supervising producer, was caught in an avalanche on Sunday afternoon just outside of Jackson Hole. The slide occurred approximately 2pm and carried Epstein nearly 1000 vertical feet. Epstein was the only member of the three-person party to be caught in the slide, and the other two members were able to come to his aid. Epstein was not buried by the slide, and it has been reported that he was able to deploy his avalanche air bag, which would help him remain on top of the avalanche debris. Once the party reached Epstein emergency response was notified. Jackson Hole […] Avalanche SnowBrains | March 12, 2014 2 Comments
The Tahoe Exodus Tour | Jackson Hole, WY With the dry pattern looking like it was going to continue in Tahoe, I decided against going back home anytime soon and made my way up from Utah to Jackson with a friend to meet some friends from Tahoe. While inbounds terrain at Jackson is harboring decent snow cover, the word from the locals was that the backcountry was going off. Unfortunately for us, we had very limited time and less than desirable weather which kept us […] Conditions Report Jesse Cassidy | January 10, 2014 0 Comments
