Top 10 Snowfall Totals in the USA: It’s been a snowy year in the USA if you’ve been in the right spots – namely Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and the East Coast. The usually dominating snow totals of the West Coast are non-existent on this list this year. A miracle on the West Coast is still possible, but it’s starting to get late. Lake Tahoe Snowfall Totals and Photos Today: Up to 22″ of Snow The “Severe” storm that was supposed to clobber Tahoe last night is widely being considered a dud. The main issue was that the wind shifted to coming from the South, which didn’t give it the power to get over the Pacific Crest and into the Tahoe Basin. West of the crest did very well with 12-16 inches being reported. The East side of the Tahoe Basin did poorly with only 3-5 inches being reported.
