124″ of Snow Forecast for Chile This Weekend! Wow. 124″ of snow are forecast for Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile this weekend. Valle Nevado had nothing but brown dirt and rocks until 5 days ago. Now, they’re about to get dumped on and potentially be open with terrific conditions next week. It’s been so bad in northern Chile so far this winter that no ski resorts have opened up yet.
