NOAA: 2-Feet of Snow Forecasted for Tahoe Tuesday & Wednesday

NOAA is forecasting up to 2-feet of new snow for Lake Tahoe this Tuesday and Wednesday. A warm, wet storm will bring heavy precipitation and snow levels around 7,000-feet and higher. This is the exact storm we need to build our snow base at the mid and upper mountain levels. The timing of this storm couldn’t be better. C’mon Tahoe, this is your year! Up to 9″ of New Snow in Tahoe’s High Country This Morning | Photo Tour:

Lake Tahoe’s high country picked up up to 9″ inches of snow last night in the 2nd storm of a three storm parade. The third storm was forecast to hit tonight and drop about 18″ of snow. Now, they’re saying more like 2″ of snow. The storm’s energy has been pushed north. Regardless, we go some snow out of this storm and every little bit helps for getting white strips of death open all over Tahoe. Heavenly & Northstar open today. Squaw, Mt.
