NOAA: 6-Inches of Snow Forecast for California Today Yet another May storm is on it’s way to California today. The storm today is forecast to drop up to 6″ of snow above 8,000-feet in the Sierras. This will be the third storm to bring significant snow to the Sierra Nevada mountain since Cali’s first big storm this month on May 7th that dropped 12-18″ on Mammoth. NOAA: 4-12″ of Snow for Tahoe This Weekend NOAA is forecasting 6-12″ of snow in Tahoe this weekend. They’re saying 4-8″ above 5,500-feet and up to 12″ of snow on the highest peaks in Tahoe. NOAA: 6-18″ of Snow Forecast for Lake Tahoe Today Another Pacific storm is impacting Lake Tahoe today. NOAA is forecasting 6-18″ of snow above 7,000-feet. Snow levels started at 8,000-feet but are expected to drop to lake level by Monday morning. Tahoe’s most recent storm dropped about 12-inches of snow on most of the West Side ski resorts. Mt. Atomospheric River On-Track for Tahoe | 1-2′ of Snow Above 8,000′ The atmospheric river headed to the West Coast is still on-track to greatly impact Northern California.
