The decent sized storm forecast to impact Tahoe is hitting right now. NOAA is forecasting 7-15″ of snow in the mountains with some higher accumulations on the higher peaks with snow levels down to 3,500-feet. Lake Tahoe Storm Totals & Photo Tour | 26″ at Mt. Rose, NV

Mt. Rose ski resort in Nevada was the big winner from this storm and it’s no surprise. Forecasts were saying that below 8,000-feet, this storm was going to drop only rain. Tahoe Storm UPgraded: 6”-9” Above 8,000 Feet | Is This 2012/13’s Last Powder Day?

Most of the week forecasters have been speaking of 3-6” tops with this Sunday Night storm.  Now, there is talk of up to 6-9” above 8,000 feet.  A bit more moisture is now forecasted to come through Tahoe and give us a shot at what very well could be our last powder day.  But, as we know, every time we […]
