The 70-Foot Boston Snow Pile Has FINALLY Melted…

At its peak, March 27, 2015, the Boston Snow Farm was about 70 feet tall.  April and May brought lower temps than normal and very little rain so the snow took an unusually long time to melt. Here is the result. Thanks to Bill and Amanda at Choicestream for their creative help. – Kevin McGurn

The Boston Snow Pile was still 12-feet tall last week.  This week, it’s finally gone.  Here are before and after photos and a timelapse video of the pile melting down.

Finally – The Snow is Gone!

After a historic winter of record breaking snowfall, the last known snow from the Winter of 2015 has melted as of Tuesday July 14, 2015 according to City of Boston & Mayor Marty Walsh. This “snowfarm” in Boston’s Seaport district was used by the city to dump snow during winter snow removal operations.
