Bigger isn’t always better, and this penthouse accommodation in the heart of Niseko, Japan, proves that. Sleeping six and with only two bathrooms, it certainly isn’t the largest property. The key feature for this property is the balcony and outdoor hot tub overlooking Mt Yotei, one of Japan’s largest active volcanoes.

Courchevel, France, is renowned as a destination for the rich and famous, and this property would certainly suit this market. Able to house 12 guests, with six bathrooms in total, this is a big pad. Its impressive feature list includes a wood fireplace, exercise room, spa, home theatre, massage room, indoor pool, heated driveway, and three elevators (seems excessive?!).
