Timberline Lodge ski resort on Mt. Hood, OR has closed until December 1st due to rain and warm temperatures.

Timberline Lodge was technically the first ski resort to open for the 2017/18 winter season in early October.

Timberline has been open on weekends since October then has been open daily since November 10th.

“Thanksgiving break was definitely a wild ride, from pow days at the beginning to rain, snow, mix, wind, calm, clouds, clear all in the equation. We are fortunate enough to have had 166″ of snowfall since September 1. Unfortunately, the rain and warmer temps have pushed our mountain operation professionals and snowpack to the limit.. TIMBERLINE SKI AREA WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FRIDAY 12/1. There is snow in the forecast and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the mountain as soon as possible. Timberline Ski and Ride School will be taking reservations all week. Please stay tuned for updates. As always, The Lodge and all it has to offer is open.” – Timberline Lodge, today
