Farmers’ Almanac Fall Snow Forecast: Cold and Snowy With Heavy Thanksgiving Snow Possible
The Farmers’ Alamanc released its highly-anticipated winter 2022/23 forecast last week, warning of a winter of extremes. But before winter arrives, we have to wait for summer to turn to fall, and sometimes fall can bring us snowy treats. Last year a huge snowstorm dumped feet of snow on California in October, allowing both Palisades Tahoe and Mammoth Mountain to open before November.

Who doesn’t like to think about winter and snow when it’s 100ºF outside?Â
Direct Weather has just released its winter prediction for the 2022-23 season. In the video precipitation and temperature predictions are discussed along with polar vortexes, arctic fronts, and overall snowfall along with regions that may be drier and warmer than the historical normal.

World Champion Skier Falls to Her Death While Climbing Mont Blanc, France
A skiing world champion and her female climbing companion fell to their deaths on Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Another climbing group discovered their roped-together bodies around 6.15 pm.
Adèle Milloz, 26, and her friend died while traversing from Aiguille de Peigne (10,4723ft) to nearby peak Aiguille du Midi (12,605ft), mountain guides confirmed.
