Treble Cone ski area in New Zealand, one of the most badass ski areas in New Zealand, has postponed their opening indefinitely due to a current lack of snow and warm temps.

Treble Cone had planned on opening last Saturday, June 17th, 2017.

We’ll certainly keep you updated as to when they do plan on opening as the weather situation improves.

“Due to some unusually warm temperatures over the past week, the Home Basin has insufficient snow cover and unfortunately the 2017 season will be postponed. So get snow dancing, snow praying for a snowy start. ❄️💃❄️💃❄️💃
The snowmakers are working hard to make snow when temperatures permit.
Weather services forecast freezing levels to drop during the week, and we’re hopeful that this will fall further allowing us to make more snow on the main runs in the Home Basin, putting the mountain in a position to open. We will keep you updated!
Everyone at TC is excited for the 2017 season to start!” – Treble Cone, yesterday
