One person was sent to the hospital after a snowmobile crashed into the Angel Express Chairlift at Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort on Tuesday.
It was reported that a female guest was attempting to climb onto the snowmobile, when she accidentally hit the throttle and took off at a high rate of speed.
She lost control of the snowmobile and ended up crashing it into the lift loading station.
“We believe it was an accident in getting on. We do wish that the person recovers as best as possible,” stated Kendra Scurfield, brand and communications manager at Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort.
Local paramedics were contacted at 10:30am on Tuesday and transported the woman to the hospital.
Thankfully, her injuries weren’t life-threatening and no one else was injured by the snowmobile.
