“The quiet summer months are the busiest for our Lift Mechanics. Right now, our crews and Doppelmayr experts are working on a Tram Carriage Overhaul project. The current Aerial Tram carriages were new in 2014. As part of routine maintenance, they need to be disassembled and rebuilt every 6 years, which includes the replacement of all bearings, liners, bushings and hoses, as well as NDT (non-destructive) testing of all the axles.
