In early April, Winter Park Resort, CO, announced that they would be keeping Mary Jane open beyond the planned April 24th closing date “until we can’t ski anymore.” It looks like that day has come.

In a social media post yesterday, the resort said they will close on May 21st, 2022, but they “are taking it day by day and may need to close earlier depending on conditions.”

“It looks like the time may come sooner than we had hoped. Right now, our last day skiing at Mary Jane is planned for this Saturday, May 21. This week has brought unseasonably warm temperatures and sunny skies making for some amazing spring skiing, but also rapid snowmelt creating challenges to keep the connectivity on our open trails. Our operations teams are working hard to keep us skiing through Saturday. However, given the current weather, we are taking it day by day and may need to close earlier depending on conditions. If that’s the case, we’ll share an update as soon as we know! In the meantime, keep enjoying those Super Gauge laps!”

Resort announcement

Winter Park is currently one of two resorts still open in Colorado. Its closure will leave Arapahoe Basin as the last man standing.

The resort has seen 331″ of snow this winter and currently has a 40″ base.
