The world’s largest mountain-top Snow Fort has officially opened for guests of all ages to explore at Keystone Resort in Colorado. Located at the top of the River Run gondola at an elevation of over 11,600 feet, this year’s Snow Fort is even bigger and better than years past. Reaching a height of over 35 feet and covering a quarter-acre, it took two weeks of round-the-clock work to complete the build featuring an impressive ice cave, slides and tunnels, larger-than-life ice sculptures, and snow much more.

The public can come and play everyday during operating hours by taking the River Run gondola to the Dercum Summit. Visitors will need an Epic Pass, Keystone lift ticket, or scenic gondola foot passenger ticket for access. Keystone’s Snow Fort will be open as long as snow conditions allow (last season it was open until mid-April), so experience this winter wonderland before it melts!

Guests can combine their Snow Fort visit with Mountaintop Snow Tubing right next to the Snow Fort, Ice Skating in one of our two beautiful outdoor ice rinks, or a Scenic Sleigh Ride that the whole family will enjoy for even more adventure.

The Keystone Snow Fort was created by Snice Carvings LLC with support from Keystone’s Mountain Operations Teams.
