Yosemite National Park officials are requesting information regarding a missing hiker. Joel Thomazin, 31, of Denair, CA, had planned a solo out-and-back hike from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir to Lake Eleanor. He left on Monday, September 6, and was expected back on Thursday, September 9. He has not been seen since Sunday 5th September.
If you were in the area of Miguel Meadow, Lake Eleanor, or on the trails around Hetch Hetchy since Monday, September 6, 2021, or have any information regarding this individual, please contact Yosemite Search and Rescue at 209/238-7046.
Joel is a 31-year-old white male, 5 ft 10 in, with buzzed brown-colored hair. Joel has a Kelty brand yellow and gray backpack, green sleeping bag, bright-red inflatable kayak, blue/green hammock, and tan or blue zip-off pants.
