Endurance athlete Nikolas Toocheck, who is on record for being the youngest person to run a marathon in all seven continents (including Antarctica) at just 11 years old, and who ran a marathon in all 50 states by the age of 14, is now on track to climb the seven volcanic summits of the world. This week Toocheck reached his first summit after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.

Nik Climbs the World is Nik Toocheck’s third philanthropic campaign to help children in need. In previous efforts, he raised more than $50,000 for Operation Warm, a national nonprofit that brand-new winter coats and athletic-style shoes for children in need. Now, Nik’s continuing his fundraising efforts by climbing the seven volcanic summits of the world to raise another $50,000 in support of the organization.

“I realized at a young age that you don’t have to be big to make a positive difference in the world. I carry that with me today,” said Toocheck of his efforts. “I’m grateful to have the opportunities I do to help children in underserved communities – and it’s such a great feeling to help others while doing something I love.”

In support of the effort, GoPro for a Cause has provided GoPro Cameras and other GoPro products to help Toocheck capture the story of his climbs and to help generate awareness for Operation Warm’s mission. Toocheck’s next climb is scheduled for March 2023 at Picos de Orizaba in Mexico.
