After several days of being closed, SR-210 is now open to all travel with no restrictions. No midday closures are scheduled for the coming days, though this will be reassessed as temperatures change.

Alta and Snowbird ski areas look forward to returning to normal operations on Friday and Saturday. Sunday operations are not confirmed yet, as temperatures are expected to warm by the end of the weekend.

It’s been not just a whirlwind of a week but a season writes Snowbird on its social media. The two resorts have dealt with a unique and fragile situation following a season of record-breaking snowfall.

Moving forward, there will be no roadside parking from Snowbird Entry 1 to Entry 4 for the foreseeable future; however, parking will be allowed on the Bypass Road. Superior Lot will be determined daily, dependent on conditions. As you make your way up SR-210, please drive carefully due to rock falls and debris.

Both resorts would like to thank their guests for their patience and resort employees and UDOT for their hard work keeping us safe so we can have fun.

Please monitor UDOT’s updates on their website or Twitter for updates and current status reports before traveling. Make sure you are prepared for sudden closures or the extension of closures, and plan ahead.
