20-Year-Old Californian Man, and Son of ‘Weeds’ Creator, Died in ‘Serious Incident’ Skiing at Park City, UT Tuesday

A 20-year-old man from California died New Year’s Eve after a ‘serious incident’ on the Canyons Village side of Park City Mountain Resort, UT the ski area said yesterday.

“Park City Mountain, Park City Mountain Ski Patrol, and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family and friends,” said Mike Goar, PCMR’s vice president and chief operating officer in a prepared statement.

Ski patrollers responded to an accident on an intermediate trail at about 2:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. The man, from Sherman Oaks, CA was flown from the resort but later pronounced dead. The man’s name has not been officially released, but TMZ identified the man as Charlie Noxon, son of “Orange Is the New Black” and “Weeds” creator Jenji Kohan.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday did not provide additional details about the incident.

TMZ reports that Noxon fell and was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital. He was visiting with his siblings and father, writer Christopher Noxon, according to TMZ. Charlie appeared in an episode of “Weeds” back in 2008. His mom, Jenji Kohan, and his dad, journalist Christopher Noxon, divorced in 2018 after 21 years of marriage.
