The snow that fell on Friday was enough to make this winter the snowiest in eight years and takes Denver within touching distance of the 79″ of winter 1991-92.
The overall record for Denver is 118.7″ that fell in 1908-09, and is the only time 100″ has been exceeded.
Another storm is heading towards the state today, but will it bring the ~5″ required to make it the snowiest winter in 29-years?ย The NOAA is calling for 3-5″, so it’s not impossible.
