Palisades Tahoe, California, opened for the 23/24 season on Wednesday, November 22, with the First Venture chairlift in the base area. By Saturday, the resort expects to expand its terrain to include Treeline Cirque to mid-station at Alpine. Thank you, snowmakers!
“Here’s something to be thankful for – we’re expanding our open terrain! Treeline Cirque opens for the season this Saturday, November 25th to kick off the season on the Alpine side. We’ll still have limited terrain available as we wait for Mother Nature to bring more snow, but we’ll be open on both sides with easy access via the Base to Base Gondola. The Gondola will be open Saturday & Sunday only in this early season period.”
LIFT + TERRAIN UPDATES:
- First Venture will be open daily from 9 am-4 pm starting on Wednesday, November 22. There will be a small Terrain Park setup on First Venture, likely with three features. The Ahsoka carpet will also be open from 9 am-4 pm.
- Treeline Cirque will be open to the mid-station daily from 9 am-4 pm starting Saturday, November 25.
- The Base to Base Gondola will be open to carry passengers between base areas on weekends during this early season period. It will operate from 9 am-4 pm when it is open. See below for the full schedule.
- The Aerial Tram will be open for sightseeing only from 10 am-3 pm through Sunday, November 26.
Base to Base Gondola Schedule:Â
- Open November 25th-26 (Saturday/Sunday)
- Closed November 27-December 1 (Monday-Friday)
- Open December 2-3 (Saturday/Sunday)
- Closed from December 4-7 (Monday-Thursday)
- Open Friday, December 8, likely for the season
Friday and Saturday: November 24-25
Along with skiing and riding, the opening weekend will include a DJ, firepits, a food truck, lawn games, and a box feature from terrain parks. Santa and the Elves will be in The Village from 12 to 5 p.m. with the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. on Friday. There will be complimentary cocoa, cookies, and photos with Santa along with a Welcome to Winter retail kickoff in select stores with 20% off all hard goods, Go Pros & Accessories for Ikon passholders.
Bubbles & Brews Welcome Home Party: November 25 and December 2
Come raise your glass and celebrate your return to the mountains with us at Plaza Bar with some of Palisades Tahoe’s athletes! Featuring Chandon Sparkling from Napa Valley and local brewery selections paired with delectable appetizers, you can savor live music and dance the night away. This event is for adults 21 and over.
