A 52-year-old man from Oceanside, CA, died Thursday after being discovered upside down and unconscious in deep snow on Mammoth Mountain. The man was found at noon by other skiers and snowboarders who attempted to dig him out while calling ski patrol. He was at the intersection of Hully Gully and Redwing.
